On the 2nd Day of Christmas......

..... all the usual preps took place.

The turkey and ham are cooking, the vegetables and potatoes are peeled, the Christmas cake has been iced and the ancient decorations have been stuck on.
Secret Santa gifts have been exchanged.
And the games prize table has been set up.
A few G&T's have been drunk.  Followed by coffee to stop me sleeping the rest of the day away.
Now it's just a case of enjoying the build up.

Hope you are all enjoying your Christmas Eve whether it be laid back and relaxed or full in in your face festivities.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas.

  2. Our cake has a giant robin, too, though I've been hitting the sherry (have a feeling I'll be singing loudly at church a bit later!) rather than the G&T (forgot to buy the T!). Have a very merry Christmas all of you. See you on the other side!

    1. Hope you and yours had a lovey Christmas Liz. I get the Christmas cake decs out and every year Mum rolls her eyes lol but the cake wouldn't be the same if the robins weren't as big as the Christmas tree. The G&T's went down a treat :) xx

  4. Have a lovely day tomorrow with your family. We're just back from our local Indian restaurant where our daughter treated us to lunch. Now going to have a cuppa and lounge about watching tv. Catriona

    1. Hope you had a lovely Christmas Catriona. Bet you are excited to be travelling to Lytham tomorrow, hope you have a great time. I could easily go for an Indian Christmas Eve but Amy and Thomas don't like it - something else to look forward to doing when they leave home!

  5. The cake looks very yummy! It hasn't stopped snowing since early yesterday morning! OMG there's tons of it! Thankfully, we have wonderful neighbours who have shovelled ours as well as their own all day yesterday and today. One neighbour even shovelled our driveway as he knows we are having company this afternoon. Great people. Garry is out the back shovelling so we can get to the garage and the garbage cans. I think we'll have 10 people for Christmas Eve so the table will be groaning with appetizers and treats! Good thing it's only once a year!

    1. Sadly no snow here but it was grey, wet and windy which was better than sunshine :) What kind neighbours you have, shovelling snow isn't easy to do especially when there's loads of it to move.

Hope you and your family all enjoyed Christmas. Just got to do Boxing Day tea and then it's all over for us. xx

    1. Merry Christmas to you Sadie. Hope you all had a lovely day. Can't believe in a few hours (after Boxing Day tea), it will all be over for us.

No, I didn't win the talent show. Mark did impressions of us all which were hysterical. We couldn't breathe for laughing. He was definitely the rightful winner! xx
