Wondering then Realising

Wondering whether to have a flake or an apple.
Realising the apple was always a non contender.
Wondering about my idea to turn the summerhouse into a craft room.
Realising I've no idea what to do with everything that's already in there.
Wondering what to cook for tea.
Realising I'd be happy with crackers and cheese but not sure about the troops. Lasagne again.
Wondering if Sparky will nip me when I put flea drops on.
Realising he's a pushover as long as you give him a sock and a biscuit wrapper or two.
Wondering who dumped all this in the porch.
Realising Amy has finally cleaned her bedroom.
Wondering if I should read, crochet, sew or watch TV.
Realising I'm lucky to have the choice.
Wondering if I should have a long soak in the bath.
Realising, Yes I should!

  1. This made me laugh Suzanne. No question....always a Flake. I'm drooling over the lasagne too. I think I need a snack. X

    1. I find apples hard work anyway haha. Too much munching. Maybe if I'd had a banana that would have won. Nah, who am I kidding. It was always going to be the flake. xx

  2. so clever.

I have visions of you wandering around through your day with finger on lips, knitted brow, and constantly thinking '...hmm.. should I..?'

    :O) xx

    1. That pretty much sums me up anyway Sadie. Although if we're talking about chores the words "should I" are usually quickly followed by, "not today, maybe tomorrow". When it comes to chocolate and other such goodies though the words are always followed by "well it would be rude not to" :) xx

  3. Great post!

Not too long ago, an apple would have been a non-contender next to a chocolate for me, too, but now, since the chemo, chocolates don't taste the same, so I'd choose the apple. How sad is that?

Using the shed as a storage area for your crafts supplies is an excellent idea, too. I used to have my crafts stuff in the garage, but I found myself bringing stuff to work on in the house because I didn't like being in the garage when my mother and daughter were in the house. I still have some of my crafts stuff in the garage, but it is more like a storage area now.

    1. Oh no Bless, what a tragedy not being able to taste chocolate. I don't think the apple is sad at all though. Far better for you and I know you've not been able to eat lots of fruits over the past few months, so it's probably a lovely treat for you :)

Yes, I think I'd feel cut off in the shed. I'm going to look at clearing the shelves, buying some boxes and sorting myself out storage wise instead. xx

  4. Decisions descisions!! I love how when the offspring tidy their rooms it always equals piles of crap dumped elsewhere. Mr 19 dumps his unwanted stuff on the landing outside the back bedroom ( I still can't get used to not calling it Miss 22's room !! )

    1. That's so true Rachel, but why do they do that? As long as it's not in their room it's OK. When she was younger any books and toys she didn't want she'd just dump on our bed! At least the porch is nearer to the bin. xx

Deep down it will always be Miss 22's room :) xx

  5. I would go for the flake in a hot bath with a good book.
Unfortunately we only have Galaxy Ripples in the fridge and we no longer have a bath. I think eating a ripple in the shower would be a tad messy-x-

    1. Sheila, you are definitely my type of friend! Why didn't I think of doing all 3 together. Galaxy is my favourite chocolate but I'll eat any if I really really have to haha. xx

  6. Ah, those first world quandaries we all know so well. Me, I debated whether to eat one or two custard creams (homemade, no less). Turns out I ate the lot.

PS Belated congratulations to you all on the new family member.

    1. It was a quandary...but only for about 10 seconds haha. Homemade custard creams. I'm very impressed. I struggle with biscuits. Once I start I could easily eat a whole packet. Mind you that can be said for a lot of 'naughty' foods.

Thank you, we've been to see them all at home today. They are doing really well but had a disturbed night. One of many to come I expect. xx
