Back Home!

A quickie tonight. We're back home. It's a day earlier than we thought but the weather wasn't looking very good for tomorrow and there's nothing worse than putting an awning and a caravan away in the rain. If that's what we have to do then so be it, but if we can avoid doing it then we will.

We made the most of our time there though and didn't get in until 8pm.

There's a load of washing in, most, but not all of the things we took are put away and Mark has just nipped out for a Chinese.

I'll be catching up with you all over the next couple of days and replying to the lovely comments you always leave.

    1. It wasn't too bad really as we didn't get in until 8pm so we still had a full day there. You have to be off site by 12 noon so it would have been a case of getting up early this morning, packing away and leaving. At least doing it yesterday I still got a lie in and we could take our time and enjoy the van in between packing up to leave. xx

  2. Sorry you had to come home a day earlier, but probably the best decision given the weather forecast. We'll all miss your vacation post cards, though!

    1. Hi Bless, hope you are keeping well. It's really no fun putting away a wet awning and me and Thomas had been there 9 days so didn't feel like I was missing out really, especially as we still had a full day there yesterday. Still in holiday mode here though. Nothing much getting done apart from the dreaded holiday washing. xx

  3. sorry you had to lose a day, but I agree, doing stuff like that is no fun. I am known to bring my wheelie bin out from the back garden and leave in the front for a day or two if I know it's going to rain. I absolutely hate moving the wheelie bins around in the rain, don't know why.

Wish it would rain here. Am now thoroughly sick of the hotness.

    Anyway. Welcome home! :O) xxx

    1. No, no fun at all in the rain but we still made a full day of it and managed to squeeze yet another BBQ in. It's warm here today but dull and it keeps showering. Wish it would make its mind up, I'm in an out like a don't know what trying to get the washing dry. xx

  4. Glad you are home safely. My Facebook pop up memory this morning is the van at the site exactly a year ago. The scary thing is, it's in almost the same spot as this year! Don't overdo the housework and try to keep the holiday vibe going. Wish I knew a young person I could take to the cinem to see The BFG. Catriona

    1. We used to always up in pretty much the same spot back when Amy was little. Apart from the usual washing nothing much else is getting done today. The BFG was really good, you could always just attach yourself to the end of a group of children and go in with them :)xx
