Normal is good

Today has been a pretty normal day, the first in what feels like a while, although I'm sure that's not the case.

Lidl had stocks in this morning and I couldn't resist. At £4 a bunch they're at the top end of the market price wise but well worth the money. The look and smell lovely.
Our Caravan Club site book came today. It's full of beautiful places to visit and I can definitely see us getting our monies worth of out Glug Glug II.
And while Mark is up to his eyes in the boring stuff like wheel clamps, hitch locks, tow bars, and nose weight gauges I get to do the frilly bits. First purchase was this jug and tumbler set. It's plastic which is ideal for young people. Friends are easily made on caravan sites and after a good bout of playing drinks and treats are given out by all and sundry. Plastic is definitely the best option.
The best bit of the day was Amy went into school and stayed there until home time which these days makes the day a good one.

  1. I'm so glad Amy was able to stay at school today.

Love stocks. One of the best flowers, that Clove like smell is so gorgeous. They last pretty well too.

Yes, plastic is the way to go. I got some really fab plastic BBQ plates in there last week. American Advert style prints on them, I love them! A couple of quid each.

Hope you've had a good day and a good week. xx

    1. I love the stocks. It's like having a touch of country cottage garden on my windowsill. Plastic will definitely feature in the caravan along with some 'proper' crockery for those that can be trusted!

The week has been a bit up and down what with one thing and another, but it all seems to have settled down in time for weekend. Hope the plans for Violet's party are coming along nicely and that you're all keeping well. xx

    1. A normal day is indeed a blessing. Amy did another fully day today. I honestly think just knowing she can come home if she needs to has made all the difference. Very grateful to the school for being so understanding. xx

  3. 0-6 Pack Abs Review

Working out is recommended for just about everyone in order to live a healthy lifestyle. Cardio, weight training, and aerobics are all easy exercise categories. Weight training is perfect for those who want to achieve chiseled bodies and increase muscle mass. Some women are more reluctant than men to lift weights for fear of becoming too muscle bound. For those women who want to work out to create sculpted bodies, without looking too manly, there are easy steps which can be taken.

  4. Hope normality has continued. It's been a bit mad here, too, with one car breaking down and the other in a crash. Ho hum.

    1. Oh no Liz. Breaking down is bad enough but a crash! Hope nobody was hurt. Touch wood the only crash I've been involved in was when I was having driving lessons and somebody smashed right into the side of us. The car was a write off. Thankfully me and the instructor walked away without a scratch. xx

  5. Gorgeous flowers, I bought some stocks for my friend who needed some ( stinky perfumey ) pretty flowers in her life today just because! She stuck her nose in and inhaled declaring them divine. I'd have barfed on the spot!!

    1. Oh yes I remember you don't like flowers in the house do you. Aunty Edith's not keen either. Is it just the smell of them? I'm not keen on pot pourri and I'm a bit fussy with reed diffusers. If they're too strong they can give me a headache. And I can't stand air freshners. They're too strong. xx

    2. I'm a bit over sensitive nose wise - nearly keeled over in the card shop yesterday near their pretend Yankee candle identical jars different name display so flowers are a big no no. But the main reason is/are
Flowers are at funerals. Except mine. I don't want any. I want people to plant something purple in their garden in memory of me instead!! ( a tad over dramatic lol ) I like to see them in the garden. I like to see them in other people's houses. I love to buy them for people. But I choose not to have them in my house. Actually the main reason is I can't be doing with the smell of the water in the vases and when it goes green n slimy yuk!! I do have flowers occasionally - I'm not a total weirdo and the HG loves buying me them. But mainly, I look at cut flowers in my house, and it makes me sad.

    3. Yes, I can be a bit sensitive in the smell dept. Can't stand air freshners and have to be careful with reed diffusers.

Aww, it's sad that flowers in the house make you feel sad :(

I do believe you can have too many flowers in the house. When I came home from hospital with Amy the house was full of them and they looked lovely but after a while I found them a bit oppressive. I'm quite happy with a vase on the windowsill and one of two jam jars of leftovers on the fireplace or the shelf. xx
