Dying Swan

I wasn't too good again last night and spent most of it tossing and turning in bed shivering but red hot.

I dragged myself out of bed this morning but had to go back after 10 minutes and slept through until 3pm.

Of course this would happen on the day I'm going to the ballet but thankfully, although I feel a bit like a dying swan myself, I think I'm on the up now.

  1. oh I hope you were alright for the ballet. It can be a bit of a long one, I hope feeling poorly didn't spoil it for you.

Feel better soon my friend xx

    1. I was fine for the ballet, went shivery at the interval and developed a bit of a headache but nothing that stopped me from enjoying it.

It was lovely and we all really enjoyed it. The swans were mesmerising and I got totally engrossed when they were dancing. They make it look so easy but when I think I can't even bend down without a groan you realise how much effort they're actually putting in. And those men in white tights, what can I say. Very nice bottoms indeed!

Feeling better today, but it creeps up on me. At least I'm out of bed so I'm heading in the right direction. xx

    1. Hello there sickie twin. I hate being poorly, it irritates me no end, such a waste of time! I'm up at my normal time and feeling OK so that's good. How are you feeling? better I hope.

The ballet was brilliant, I could have watched the swans dancing all night. They were beautiful. And the orchestra just added to the whole atmosphere. Would definitely go again. xx

    1. Morning Janice. I was fine for the ballet, which we all really enjoyed. The music was really moving and the costumes were lovely. I did get the shivers at the interval but was OK otherwise. You've said exactly the same thing as Mum! Thankfully, my clearing and cleaning is done so I'll be taking things a bit easier for the rest of the month.

We had snow at the weekend, it's gone now though. A very light layer but enough for Thomas to make a few snowballs and throw them at the window while I stood inside. I usually go out with him, but no way could I have mustered up the energy for that this weekend. xx

    1. Thanks Jo, the ballet was fantastic and I enjoyed every minute of it. So far, it looks as thought the lurgy is behind me. I've taken it easy today and I'm feeling much better. Need to be well for Wednesday as that's when we plan to visit Mrs Gaskell :) xx
